Employment Assistance Support Measure
The objective of this assistance program is to help local community organizations to provide employment services to unemployed persons.
Eligible coordinators can be businesses, organizations, public health and educational institutions, municipal governments and native band councils.
The duration of the contracts may last up to 12 weeks.
Financial Assistance
- wages for administrative staff to prevailing wage rate
- contribution towards employers share of mandatory employment related costs such as C.P.P., E.I., etc…
- negotiated necessary overhead costs
- negotiated special costs such as disabled participation, necessary capital costs or leasing to a maximum of $10,000.
- income support for participants:
- employment insurance during intervention
- living allowance at 100% of E.I. rate for E.I. exhaustees
- living allowance as per schedule A for E.I. reach back clients
- transportation costs: negotiated actual costs, mileage allowance of $0.10 per km over 26 km one way
- child care costs: actual costs for registered day care, child care rate for non registered day care as per schedule B
- negotiated one time client support to a maximum of $250.00 (for clients not in receipt of income)
