About the Trade

Construction Craft Workers build everything. Residential homes, commercial buildings, hydroelectric dams, railways, and bridges. With experience and additional training, workers can specialize in operating off-road vehicles, drilling and blasting, diving, or tunnelling.

What You Will Learn

Form setting, scaffolding, and concrete placement. You will erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades. You will mix, pour, and spread concrete and asphalt. You will assist with demolition, debris removal, and operate power tools and equipment on site.

Who It Is For

This program is for people who work hard with their hands. Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity are needed. Organizational skills, leadership, and blueprint reading are assets for anyone who wants to move up in the trade.
