Miziwe Biik would like to invite you to our upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 6:00PM, by Zoom.
The business of the meeting will begin at 6:00 PM and includes the following: (a) Receiving, considering and approving the financial statements for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, and the report of the auditors thereon. (b) Transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereof.
Memberships for 2025 will cost $5 and will close on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Membership forms are available in our offices located at 167 Gerrard St. East. Membership fees must accompany the form by the member.
Types of Membership:
There are two types of membership: Regular and Honourary
Regular Membership: consists of such Aboriginal People as applying for membership who:
- Reside within the Greater Toronto Area (proof of residency will be required at any meeting of members or at any other times as determined by the Board; or
- Are employed within the Greater Toronto Area (proof of such employment will be required at any meeting of members or at any other times as determined by the Board);
- Support the aims and objectives of the corporation; and
- Register as regular members on an annual basis.
Honourary Membership: such elders who are Aboriginal Persons as apply for membership and who register as honourary members on an annual basis and be approved by the Board of Directors.
Members shall be entitled to one vote per member at all meetings of members of the Corporation, provided that such person was registered as a member of the Corporation at least [30] days prior to the date of such member's meeting.
The original signed membership form may be dropped off along with membership fee at reception.
