Miziwe Biik's annual bursary is now open for Indigenous students CURRENTLY ENROLLED in a post-secondary university, college, or apprenticeship!

Please ensure you have the following:

  • Bursary Application Form
  • Program of study overview/outline
  • Letter of Introduction/Essay (1 page)
  • Winter Timetable
  • Current Confirmation of Enrollment Letter Stating Full or Part-Time in a Post Secondary Program, University, College or Trades Institute.
    • INVALID: Welcome, acceptance, transcripts, and account summary letters
  • Indigenous Ancestry (Status, Non-Status, Inuit, or Metis)
    • Status – Copy of Status Card
    • Métis – Copy of Membership Card
    • Inuit – Copy of Beneficiary Card
    • Non-Status – Letter from your Non-Status First Nation / Copy of Your Parent(s) or Grandparent(s) Status Card o Non-Status assessment will need to be completed
  • Miziwe Biik Client Registration Form
  • Resident of the Greater Toronto Area during the Academic year

Fill out all information carefully and attach ALL required documents to your application.

DEADLINE: February 26, 2026 by Noon

*Applications will not be reviewed until after the deadline.

Please ensure you take traffic and TTC delays into consideration if leaving it until the last day as we will not be accepting any application after the deadline.

All applications must be submitted complete and in-person to the Miziwe Biik office at 167 Gerrard Street East.
